Funeral services for Michael “MT” Turner of Hessmer will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Jeff White officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Friday, January 19th, 2018 from 6:00pm to time of services on Saturday morning. Burial will commence at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery.
Michael, age 49, passed away at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria. He was a volunteer for Marksville Fire Department for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Turner Carter & Willie Turner; mother-in-law, Mary Alice Jeansonne; nephew Gregory Jeansonne; uncle, Hebert Turner; and extended family, Betty Lachney, Sara Scallan, Tony Lachney. He is survived by his children, Kelsey Turner of Bunkie, Christopher Turner (Krystal) of Hessmer, Tyler Turner of Cottonport; mother of his children and friend, Jessica Jeansonne (Amos Odom, Sr.), father-in-law, Gerald Jeansonne of Hessmer, brother, Jim St. Romain; sisters, Cynthia Moras, Carol Dauzat (Daniel), Susan Turner (Charles), Faye Turner, & Tina Turner; his grandchildren, Allison Turner, Joseph Smith, & Gabby Escude. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and brothers-in-law.
Services are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
I been knowing mt for 27 years and was blessed to be the mother of his 3 children and grandkids. He was a very quite man that didn't have a mean strike in his Body. He was loved my many and he will never be forgotten. Family meant so much to Mike and always went over board on gifts. I want to thank you mt for giving me 3 beautiful children also considers Amos and I as your friend after the Divorce. We gonna miss our daily phone calls and having u over for the holidays. We love you and it's not goodbye it's see u later.

MT will surely be missed by many. He was so sweet and didn't have a mean bone in his body. You never heard him raise his voice for pretty much anything. He was called home early because this world didn't deserve such a gentle and sweet person.
