Doris, age 99½, passed away at the Rivière de Soleil Community Care Center on Saturday, April 7th, 2018. She was a homemaker who loved gardening and planting flowers in her yard and tending to her pot plants on her back porch. She always had a green thumb and everything she planted would always grow and blossom so beautifully. She witnessed many changes in her long life and had many stories and could recall the smallest details about the old days. May she rest in the peace she so richly deserves.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vallery Desselle, parents, Telisma & Elma Marie Bordelon; her brothers and sisters, Eldred Bordelon, Huey Bordelon, Agnes Juneau, Rita Bordelon, and Allie Tassin; and her son-in-law, Barry Lemoine. She is survived by her children, Mitchell (Patricia) Desselle of Bordelonville, Janice (Shelby) Bordelon of Houma, Cecile (Evans Wade) Juneau of Slidell, Donna (Paul) Arnouville of Bordelonville, Leonard Desselle of Baton Rouge, & Sandra Lemoine of Moreauville. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
