Gwendolyn Bradford

Funeral Mass for Gwendolyn Bradford of Mansura will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura.

Gwendolyn Marie Day “Juicy” Bradford was born July 24th, 1960 to the late John Albert Day, Sr. and Theresa Day. Her grandparents are the late Florence and Johnny Lavalais and the late Joseph, Benita and Mary Eve Day. Gwendolyn was a very kind and loving person. She always had a smile on her face and was willing to do whatever in order to help anyone. She loved working and enjoying time spent with family and her grandchildren. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Gwendolyn accepted Christ at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Moreauville, Louisiana. Gwendolyn, age 61, passed away at University Medical Center Hospital on Friday, August 27th, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her five sons, Terry Day, Kendrick Day, both of Mansura, Charles Day, Ronnie Day (Kayla), both of Cottonport, and Dewayne Day of Mansura; her daughter, Alicia Day of Cottonport; her four sisters, Georgia Bradford (Jimmie), Margaret Eggins (Charles), Edna Day, all of Cottonport, Diana Thomas of Memphis, TN; her four brothers, Tony Day, Leon Day, Terry Day, all of Cottonport, Felix Day (Donna) of Alexandria; her 14 grandchildren, Danisha, Jade, Deon, Ariana, Malaycia, Jayda, Kamorah, Ronnie, Jr., Christopher, Za’Kyrah, Kendrick, Jr., Ka’Myriah, Kiana, and Johnnie; her two great-grandchildren, Mariah and Averie. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew she raised as her own, Mason, Sr. and Olivia who she loved dearly; and her two cousins she also loved dearly, Donald Ray Jenkins, Sr. and Deola Jenkins.

Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 9:45am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
