Addie Bordelon

Services for Addie Ducote Bordelon of Plaucheville will be at 2 p.m. December 28, 2008 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Plaucheville with Rev. Charles Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Dupont under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport. Addie Ducote Bordelon, 82, died in Bunkie General Hospital on December 25, 2008. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She was an excellent cook. Special Thanks to Lauren Bordelon for making her final years happy ones. Survivors include sons, Teddie J. Bordelon and Dillion Bordelon both of Plaucheville; daughter, Beverly Tookie Pearce of Evergreen; brother, Annis Ducote of Marrero; three special friends, P.W. and Lula Mae Guillot, Houston and Barbara Bordelon, Shirley and Mervyn Ducote all of Plaucheville; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a host of friends, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three sisters, Mazie Ducote Ponthieux, Frances Ducote Dauzat and Ena Jeansonne; two brothers, Alva Ducote and Elster Ducote; husband, Herman Bordelon, father, Otride Ducote and mother, Anna Bell Bordelon. Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and re-open Sunday, 10 a.m. A Wake Service will be Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 7 p.m. Active Pallbearers will be Shane Bordelon, Shad Bordelon, Ward Bordelon, Sam Pearce III, Adam Pearce, Blake Plauche, Scott Marcantel and Scott Plauche. Honorary pallbearers will be Gill Pias, Toby Dixon and Richard Dupont.
