Services for Adolph Dupont, Jr. of Cottonport will be at 10 a.m. on September 24, 2010 at St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Christ the King Mausoleum in Simmesport under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport.
Adolph Dupont, Jr., 86, passed away at the Grace Home on September 20, 2010. He was a member of the Operators Engineer Union 406 of Baton Rouge, Avoyelles Cattlemens Assoc. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adolph Dupont, Sr., mother, Marie Grimes, son, Roger Dupont, and stepson, Franklin Rabalais.
Survivors include wife, Bessie Dupont of Cottonport son, Gerald Dupont of New Ulm, Texas two daughters, Wanda Moreau of DeQuincy and Gloria Altoonian of Fairplay, Colorado two stepdaughters, Joan Price of Houma and Geralyn Moreau of Simmesport one stepson, Steven Rabalais of Mansura seven grandchildren thirteen great grandchildren nine stepgrandchildren.
Visitation will be September 23, 2010 at Escude Funeral Home, Cottonport from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and reopen Friday at 8 a.m. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
