Funeral services for Albert Lavalais, Jr. of Cottonport will take place at the Old Zion Baptist Church of Cottonport on Saturday, July 10, 2010, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will also be held at the church prior to the funeral, beginning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the Old Zion Baptist Cemetery.
Albert Lavalais, Jr., age 66, passed away at the Hessmer Nursing Home on Thursday. July 1, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert Carrie Lavalais, Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Bridget Lavalais of Cottonport sons, Anthony Lavalais of Forest, MS, Albert Lavalais, III of Cottonport, Tony Lavalais of Hammond, Danny Ray Lavalais of Cottonport, Charles Lavalais of Marietta, GA, Steve Lavalais, Kiven Lavalais, Chad Lavalais all of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his brothers, Johhny Tompkins, Everette Williams, Walter Ted Williams, Donald Ray Williams, Curtis Lavalais, Donell Lavalais sisters, Jeanette Kelly, Frankie Matthews, Rosemary Evans, Theresa Matthews, Carrie Ann Taylor, Diane Williams, Edna Williams Thomas, Lena Williams, Cynithia Louis, Glenda Ranger, Vicki Antione. He is also survived by his twentynine grandchildren nine greatgrandchildren.
