Alice Purpera

Funeral services for Alice J. Purpera of Baton Rouge formerly of Simmesport will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 beginning at 1pm at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Dwight De Jesus officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 beginning at 11am until the time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. Burial will be held at Christ the King Mausoleum in Simmesport.
Alice J. Purpera, age 88, passed away at her home in Baton Rouge on Thursday, August 20, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvador A. Purpera; parents, Kirby, Sr. & Mary Ducote Juneau; sister, Gladys Ducote; brothers, Kirby Juneau, Jr., Elson Juneau, and Evory Juneau.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Cheryle Stokes of Baton Rouge, Mark Purpera of Baker, John Purpera and Danny Purpera both of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren: Tommy Ponthier, Jonathan Purpera, Donovan Purpera, Tony Stokes, and Stacey Aello. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
