Funeral services for Alice Jean Simmons of Mansura will take place on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the St. Paul Catholic Church of Mansura, beginning at 10:30am. Visitations will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, October 29, 2010, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, and will resume Saturday morning at 8:00am. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Friday evening, and burial services will commence at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
Alice Simmons, age 66, passed away at the Valley View Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lee Alice Davis Malbrough. She is survived by her children, Wanda Hall, Debra Ann Simmons, Milton J. Simmons, Jr., Joseph Wayne Simmons, John Mark Simmons, Johnny Ray Simmons stepchildren, Beverly Edmond, Ruby Edmond husband Anthony, Sally Edmond, husband P.J., Tina Edmond husband Mark, Clarence Edmond wife Linda, Chris Edmond, Alvin Edmond brothers, Jeroy Malbrough, Steven Malbrough, Joseph Malbrough sisters, Martha Ford husband Lindsey, Lorena Ford sistersinlaw, Mary Margaret Simmons Malbrough, Della Simmons, Olivia Simmons Eggins, Mary June Malbrough, Cora Payne, Roxy Payne, Pearly Payne, Rose Jackson brothersinlaw, David Simmons, Vincent Simmons, Alfred Payne, Willie Jackson, Thomas Augustine uncle, Alvin Davis motherinlaw, Celina Sampson. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
