Funeral Mass for Almatine Dison of Marksville will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 beginning at 11am at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Hickory Hill. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 beginning at 8am-11am. Burial will be held at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Almatine Dison, age 80, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Camelot Leisure Living in Ferriday. She was the first born of nine children to the union of Mr. Leon Arthur Jacobs, Sr. and Laura Lee Augustine. She was baptized at Holy Ghost Catholic Church; she was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church; and she also served as a Christian mother. She attended Holy Ghost Catholic School and continued her education at Mary Meleod Bethune. She was married to Joseph Dison on February 8, 1958. To this union, one child was born, Carol Ann Dison.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ann Dison; parents, Leon & Laura Jacobs; sisters, Margaret Maeola Jacobs Hall and Jerry Mae Jacobs Branch.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Dison of Marksville; brothers, Tillman Jacobs (Louise) of Marksville, Henry Jacobs (Geraldine) of Alexandria, & Leon Jacobs, Jr. (Annie) of Poland, and Shelton Gilbert (Evelyn) of Flint, MI; three sisters, Eura Lee Hayes (Thomas) of Marksville, Bertha Gosset (Jessie) of Marksville, & Hilda Porterie of Port Arthur, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved Godchildren.
