Almeda Laprairie

Funeral services for Almeda Laprairie of Simmesport will take place at the Christ the King Catholic Church of Simmesport on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, beginning at 10:00am. Visitations will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport on Monday, August 2, 2010, from 5:00pm, lasting all night, until time of services on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00pm and burial services will commence at the Christ the King Cemetery.
Almeda Laprairie, age 85, passed away at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Center on Sunday, August 1, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Bernard Mary Dupont Bernard. She is survived by her sons, Elliott Pa Bon Laprairie, Jr. of Simmesport, Charles Laprairie, Sr. of Plaquemine daughter, Annette Gaspard of Marksville brother, Tony Bernard of Marksville sisters, Delta Bordelon of Marksville, Zella Desselle of Marksville, Daisy Juneau of Hessmer, Elvira Marcotte of Evergreen. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, thirty greatgrandchildren, three greatgreatgrandchildren.
