Funeral services for Anita Paynes Wilson of Swansea, IL, former resident of Simmesport, will take place at the Greater New Bethel Baptist Church of Simmesport on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 beginning at 11:00am. Visitation will also be held Saturday at the church from 10:00am to 11:00am. Burial will commence in the church cemetery.
Anita, age 64, passed away on July 25th, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Leon E. Wilson, Sr; one daughter, Shayla Schultz of Baton Rouge; three sons, Donielle and Daylan Paynes of Baton Rouge, and Deldridge Paynes of Houston; three step-children, Sededra Wilson and Shantelle Ricks of Baton Rouge, Leon Wilson, Jr. of Tokyo, Japan; and thirteen grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters, Effie Green of Houston, Jonnie Keller of Hanford, CA, and Juanita Edwards of Baton Rouge.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
