Funeral services for Barbara Jones of Lecompte will take place at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church of Mansura on Saturday, September 25, 2010, beginning at 11:00am, with Fr. Jose Palathura officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura, prior to the funeral services, from 9:00am to 10:45am. Burial services will commence at the St. Pauls Catholic Cemetery.
Barbara Jones, age 60, passed away at the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria on Sunday, September 19, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Laura Berzat Hollis. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Jones, Sr. of Lecompte daughter, Laura Denise Jones of Baton Rouge sons, Raymond Jones, Jr. of Baton Rouge, David Paul Jones of Baton Rouge brothers, Lawrence Paul Hollis wife Bernice of Cottonport, Larry Joseph Hollis of Cottonport, Craig Joseph Hollis of Cottonport, Lyndell Joseph Hollis wife Dianne of Lecompte sisters, Theresa Ann Johnson of Cottonport, Betty J. Jenkins husband Charles of Cottonport, Kitty Mae Laurent of Cottonport, Jennifer Ann Bazile of Cottonport, Rene Dominique of Cottonport. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
