Barbara Laborde

Funeral services for Barbara Laborde of Hessmer will take place at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Belledeau on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 beginning at 10:30am. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm with rosary prayer service at 8pm. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning at 8:00am until 10am at Escude Funeral Home. Burial service will commence at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery.

Barbara Laborde, age 71, passed away at her home in Hessmer on Friday, October 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newland Laborde; her parents, Edwin & Vivian Mayeux; and her brother, Freddie Mayeux & Floyd Mayeux.

She is survived by her children, Carol "Tut" Dauzat (Tommy) of Brouillette, Leonard Laborde, Sr. of FifthWard; sister, Bernadine Laborde of Belledeau; brothers, Gerald Mayeux (Barbara) of Cottonport and Donald Mayeux of Cathoula. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her close-friend, Mr. Lopez.
