Ben Smith

Ben Richie Smith passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at his home in Morganza. Mr. Smith was a loving husband, father and grandfather who is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sheila Kimball Smith, Morganza; mother, Ella Jean Smith and stepfather, John Frazier, of Rosedale; children, Geri Ann Smith and fianc John Paul Moegeot, New Roads, Lindsey Smith, Morganza, Emily, Peyton and Harley Smith, all of Denham Springs, Jeremy and wife Lauen Savoy, Erwinville, Jacob Savoy and fiance Annie Gary, Lottie, and Jennifer Savoy, Morganza; sister, Jan and husband Don Basco, Rosedale; brothers, Mike and wife Brenda Smith, and Mark and wife Renae Smith, all of Rosedale; granddaughter, Layn Savoy; niece, Michelle Boutte; and nephew, Anthony Basco. Visitation at Latanache Baptist Church, Batchelor, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial in church cemetery. Arrangements by Escud Funeral Home, Mansura.
