Funeral services for Berkil Ray Alexander, Sr. of Marksville will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura beginning at 11am with Rev. Mike Callahan officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura on Saturday, August 30, 2014 beginning at 8am until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Berkil R. Alexander, Sr., age 66, passed away at his home in Marksville on Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was also a member of the NAACP. In his spare time, he liked to fix cars, fish, cook, and read. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence, Jr. Alternett Francisco Alexander and his brother, Rev. Donald Wayne Alexander.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Billy Faye Mayweather Alexander of Marksville his daughter, Elsanett AlexanderWoniala David J. of Laplace his sons, Berkil Ray Alexander, Jr. Shanna of Austell, GA and Clarence Louis Alexander of Marksville sisters, Carrol A. Williams, Marsha A. Jackson, Antoinette A. Bowie, Myrtle A. Lavalais all of Marksville, Bertha A. Bonton Ed of Evergreen brothers, David Glenn Alexander and Cleo Francis Alexander Audrey Worthy both of Marksville. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Alternett Camille Alexander, Nicholas Alexander, and Kayden Alexander and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
