Funeral services for Bernita Babin of Plaucheville will take place at the Mothe Funeral Home of Harvey on Thursday, February 24, 2011, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Cottonport on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, visitations will resume Wednesday evening at Mothe Funeral Home of Harvey, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Burial services will commence at the West Lawn Cemetery of Gretna.
Bernita Babin, age 97, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 20, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Paul Babin parents, Albert Edna Babin, Sr. son, Harold Joseph Babin, brothers, Howard Babin, Paul Babin sisters, Lucille Loar, Mildred Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Ann Jeansonne McDonald, and her husband Ronald of Plaucheville daughterinlaw, Helen Babin of Marrero brothers, Fr. Albert Babin, CSSR of Missouri, Lloyd Babin of Mississippi sister, Gladys Plaisance of Slidell grandchildren, Victoria Barnes, JoAnn Wellman, David McDonald, Michael Babin, Darren Babin, Julie Bourgeois. She is also survived by her eight greatgrandchildren.
Services and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
