She was an avid reader who enjoyed history and visiting historical landmarks. Bertha loved to travel, but always welcomed the return to her home to tend her garden and resume life with her husband John. Her faith could move mountains and she was an optimistic person throughout her life. She loved to dance and sing and never became or ended her day without prayer. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.
She lived, she loved, she lost many dear ones, but her faither in God always pulled her through. She cried, she worried about her dear loved ones, and agonized, but her faith in God always pulled her through. She laughed, she played, she worshipped her husband and children, she had everything, but she loved her Lord the most because he always pulled her through.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Simmesport United Methodist Church in Simmesport.
