Bessie Dupont

Funeral services for Bessie Jeansonne Dupont, a native of Cottonport, Louisiana, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 beginning at 10am at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport with Fr. Walter Ajaero officiating. Interment will commence at the St. Mary's No. 2 Mausoleum in Cottonport. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Bessie Jeansonne Dupont, age 86, died at 2:45 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Riviere De Soleil Community Care Center in Mansura. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Nonie Jeansonne; brother, Maxie Jeansonne; husband, Adolph Dupont; sons, Steve Rabalais and Frank Rabalais
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Joan Rabalais Price of Clio, Alabama and Geralyn Rabalais Moreau of Simmesport, Louisiana; grandchildren, Janet Lee Price, Jake Moreau, Justin Moreau, Jenny Claire Moreau, Jordan Moreau, Dexter Rabalais, Natalie Rabalais, Fran Rabalais Tuck, and Laura Rabalais Guidry; and five great grandchildren.
She worked as a hairdresser for over 50 years in Cottonport and enjoyed cooking and sewing.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory for masses at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cottonport.
The family would like to thank the staff of Oakmont Estates, Riviere de Soleil, All Saints Hospice, Ochsner of New Orleans for the compassionate care provided.
