Funeral services for Bessie Dufour Parr of Cottonport will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville, beginning at 10:00am. Visitations will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport, beginning at 6:00pm and will close at 9:00pm. A rosary will be held that night at 7:00pm, and visitations will reopen the following morning at 8:00am. Burial will take place at the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Bessie Dufour Parr, age 92, passed away at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital on Sunday, September 13, 2009. She is survived by her; son, Rodney wife Suzette Dufour of Bunkie; sisters, Lottie Vallery of Baton Rouge, Claudette Lemoine of Plaucheville; daughter-in-laws, Judy Dufour of Greenville, SC., Bobbie Dufour of Plaucheville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her; parents, Clifton Eugenie Ducote; husbands, Herman M. Dufour, Myron Parr; sons, Martin J. Dufour, Leonard Dufour; brothers, James Ducote, Rudy Ducote; sister, Ordine Chenevert. Funeral arrangements and services are under the directions of Escude Funeral Home.
