Funeral Mass for Betty Ann Armand of Cottonport will begin at 10:30am on Monday, November 25th, 2019 at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport with Fr. Walter Ajaero officiating. Entombment will be held St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Mausoleum No. 2.
Mrs. Betty Ann Armand, born on April 14, 1947, went peacefully to meet her husband, Larry Joseph Armand who was patiently awaiting her arrival with open arms on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, she was 72. She lived her life for others which was evident in the way she loved! She had the heart of a servant and was always willing to help others and treated everyone, even strangers, as family! Family was everything to her and whether you knew her as Mom, Granny, Aunt Betty, your sister/best friend, or simply Miss Betty, she always knew how to make you feel welcomed and special. Her love for family even shone in her cooking, especially if you were ever the recipient of one of her special birthday cakes! Betty’s life was about family and they were undoubtedly her greatest accomplishment. Her memory will live on through the legacy she leaves behind in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They will carry on through the example of strength she exhibited as she fought like no other to be here for so much longer than anyone expected. Those extra years, months, weeks, months, days, hour and minutes that God gave her family, although a blessing, will never be enough but her perseverance gave them the chance to make so many more memories to help carry them through their grief.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children Lori Hakeman (Mick) of Marksville, Deanna Pipes (David) of Cottonport, and John Armand (April) of Evergreen; sister, Juanita Indovina of Metairie; eight grandchildren, Kayla Chappell, Lacie Juneau, Jacob Pipes, Kaitlyn Ramirez, William Hakeman, Walter Armand, Emily Armand, and Morgan Armand; and six great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to All Saints Hospice and Tessa Aymond.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Armand; parents, John and Marie Mayeaux Henderson; and sister, Isabelle Henderson.
