Betty Scallan

Funeral services for Betty Plauche Scallan of Plaucheville will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 beginning at 11am at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church of Plaucheville with Fr. Keith Ishmael officiating. Visitation will be held at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Sunday, June 22, 2014 beginning at 2pm until 10pm with a wake service at 6pm and will resume Monday morning at 8am until departing for services. Burial will follow immediately at the Mater Dolorosa Mausoleum in Plaucheville.
Betty Plauche Scallan, age 85, passed away on June 19, 2014 at the Riviere de Soliel Community Care Center.
Ms. Scallan was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Scallan and her parents, John Henry and Una Bonnette Plauche. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Diane Scallan and Dale Brenda Scallan both of Plaucheville daughters, Jeanine Scallan, Cynthia Teddie Bordelon both of Plaucheville, and Laura J.R. Rabalais of Slidell, She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers, Teddie Bordelon, Ward Bordelon, Kasey Scallan, Blake Plauche, Richard Dupont, Andrew Rabalais, Brady Dixon and Cameron Plauche crossbearer, Maddie Bordelon Altar servers, Riley and Ryan Plauche and Jack Dixon. Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport is in charge of arrangements.
