Birtie Lemoine

Funeral services for Birtie Lee Hess Lemoine of Big Bend will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 beginning at 12pm at Bayou des Glaises Baptist Church in Big Bend. Visitation will begin at 9am Wednesday and will continue until time of service. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Birtie Lee Hess Lemoine, age 91, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by husband, Bert N. Lemoine; her parents, Della Kimble Hess & Herman Joseph Hess; brother, Herman Joseph Hess, Jr.; sisters, Lola Mae Hess Fountain, Virgie Mae Hess, Maggie Mildred Hess Charrier, and Mattie Catherine Hess Charrier.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda Lemoine Hutchinson and her husband, Joseph Allan Hutchinson; grandchildren, Matthew Bert Hutchinson and his wife Natalie Clay Hutchinson, and Jessica Lee Hutchinson; great-granddaughter, Stella Grace Hutchinson; sisters, Jean Hess Desselle and Shirley Hess Zenk, and nieces and nephews.
Birtie was a homemaker who was an excellent seamstress and baker. She was a member of Bayou des Glaises Baptist Church in Big Bend, La and a member of Grace Baptist Church when she resided in Baton Rouge.
