Blanche Johnson

for Mrs. Blanche Marie Johnson will be at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hessmer on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Mausoleum, Hessmer under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Mansura. Mrs. Johnson, age 92, of Bunkie died Saturday, June 23, 2007 in Avoyelles Hospital, Marksville. She is survived by her son, Elton Johnson of Bunkie; daughters, Shirley Johnson LeBlanc, Ruth Johnson Reed of Pineville, Brenda Hayes of Pineville; sister Lena Doucet of Opelousas; brother Sam Laborde of Mansura; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel P. Johnson, father, Nestor Laborde; mother, Hazel Bordelon Laborde; brothers, Elmore Laborde, Jacob Laborde, Gaston Laborde; sister, Theresa Manuel. Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home, Mansura on Sunday, June 24, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a Wake service at 6 p.m. and will re-open Monday, June 25, 2007 from 8 a.m. until 10:05 a.m.
