Private services for Blane Joseph Roy of Dupont will be held. 

Blane J. Roy, age 62, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home in Dupont. 

Blane began most of his adult years serving our country where he served as a medic in the army. After selflessly serving our country, many throughout the Avoyelles community knew him from his welding business. Not a minute went by that his beloved son, Justin and daughter, Bridget were not on his mind. He enjoyed hunting, treasured his loving wife Dawn immensely, and his step grandkids were his pride & joy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dawn Guidry Roy; mother, Helen Guillory Roy; step-children, Ava (Cory) Trahan, Tobias Scallan, and Savannah Scallan; 3 step-grandchildren, Olivia, Maverick, and Josephine; sister, Wendy Riche (Ricky); and brother; Wayne Roy (Rhonda). Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bridget Roy; son, Justin Roy; and father, Malcolm Roy.
