Funeral services for Brenda Clark of Vicksburg, MS, formerly of Marksville, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura beginning at 11am. Visitation will take place that morning at the funeral home from 8am until the time of service with a rosary to be cited at 10:30am. Interment will commence in the St. Paul Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
On March 27, 1958, a special soul that would grace all our lives came into this world. Brenda Rose Carmouche was the second of six children born in Marksville, LA to the late Elizabeth F. Carmouche and Michael Carmouche, Sr. Brenda was called home to Glory on Monday, February 15, 2016, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, MS.
Brenda was baptized at an early age. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, where she received the sacraments of Baptism, Confession, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. She had a strong religious faith until her passing.
Brenda attended Holy Ghost Catholic School for her primary education. She spent her high school years at Marksville High School graduating in 1976.
Brenda Married John S Greenhouse and was blessed with one daughter, Victoria Nichole Greenhouse. In December 1985, she was united in holy matrimony with James E. Clark, Sr. and they were blessed with their son, James Jr.
Brenda was employed for 13 years with Rainbow Hotel Casino, now known as Lady Luck Casino, in Vicksburg, MS as a main banker and supervisor.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Fontenot Wright; a son, Marvelle Francis Carmouche; paternal grandparents, Felton Carmouche, Sr. and Madeline Rogers; maternal grandparents, Clifton Fontenot, Sr. and Corine Lavallais; stepfather, Harvey Wright; and godson, Donald Mayo Sampson,III.
Brenda leaves to mourn her husband, James E. Clark, Sr. of Vicksburg, MS; her daughter, Victoria N. Greenhouse (Anthony) of Baldwin, LA; her son, James E Clark, Jr. of Franklin, LA; her father, Michael A Carmouche, Sr. of Marksville; two sisters both of Marksville, Patricia Carmouche Sampson (Donald) and Donna Carmouche Ravare (Kenneth); three brothers, Gregory B Carmouche of Simmesport, Michael A Carmouche, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX, Vernon G Carmouche of Marksville; 3 granddaughters, Megan A Lee and Te'Aera M Bridges of Baldwin, and Milani Hebert of Franklin; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
