Buvens Laborde

A loving and devoted husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle, Buvens Paul LaBorde, passed from this life to the glorious next on August 19, 2015 at the age of 85 surrounded by his family. Born in Bordelonville, LA on December 8, 1929 and a resident of Baton Rouge. He retired from Delta Airlines and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife, Florida Lemoine LaBorde of 60 years, his five children: Wanda Kowal, Scott LaBorde, Blaine LaBorde, Penny Harvey, Michael LaBorde and wife Mika, six grandchildren (who referred to him as "Papa"): Amy Kowal Rickels and husband Damon, Kristopher Harvey, Bo Harvey, Mallory LaBorde, Madelyn LaBorde and Michelle LaBorde, one great-grandchild, Ashton Allinger, one brother, Elliot LaBorde and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents W.P. & Norma LaBorde, six brothers: Camus, Jack, Phillip, Wiltress, Rubon and Harold and four sisters: Verna Bordelon, Nell Tassin, Ruth Reech & Gene Juneau.

Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Church in Bordelonville, LA on Friday, August 21, 2015. Visitation will be from 9am until service at 11am in the Church Hall followed by burial at the St. Peter's Mausoleum.
