Carole Sue Saucier passed away October 29, 2008 at Allenbrook Nursing Home in Baytown, Texas. Sue was born September 20, 1927 to the late George Mattie Grimble Neyland. She is a graduate of Plaucheville High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and softball. Sue dedicated her life to caring for children, who throughout the years became like family to her. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, dancing, camping, listening to music, keeping up with LSU sports, and being with her family. She was a member of the Alter Society and the Blue Army at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville. Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Gerard Alvin Saucier. Sue is survived by three children: George Julian his wife Jo Ann Saucier of New Orleans, LA; Michael Gerard his wife Mitzi Saucier of Pierre Part, LA; Julia Eileen her husband Len Langan of League City, TX; Six grandchildren: Mack Gerard his wife Rochelle Saucier of New Orleans, LA; Marcie Ann her husband Peter Graf of Raleigh, NC; Adam Kyle his wife Erin Saucier of New Orleans, LA; Michael Blake his wife Kristin Saucier of Addis, LA; Trent Layward his wife Valerie St. Romain of Spotsylvania, VA, Patrice Reyne St. Romain of Norfolk, VA. 10 great-grandchildren Thomas, Stephanie, Gabrielle, Jack, Emilie, Luke, Ava, Christopher, Jacob, and Caroline. One sister, Marjorie Zupko her husband Joseph of Tulsa, OK; one half-sister Georgette Neyland Lachney of Pollock, LA. Many nieces, nephews, extended family close friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday October 31, 2008 in Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Plaucheville. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Catholic Cemetery in Plaucheville. Viewing, Rosary, and Celebration of Life will be from 6 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday, October 30, 2008, a rosary will be recited at 7 PM in Escude Funeral Home, Cottonport. Sues family would like to thank the staff of Allenbrook Nursing Home American Hospice of Baytown, Texas for their exemplary care during her illness.
