Funeral service for Carolyn James of Marksville will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Golden Chain Baptist Church in Cottonport. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Carolyn James, age 64, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul James; her daughters, Rebbie James, Regina James, and Ella James; sisters, Jackie Moore, Brenda Lee Bazile (Reginald), Jacqueline Bonton; brothers, James Moore (Stephanie), Johnny Lee Moore, Sr. (Aretha), Donald Moore, Sr. (Sherrin), and Ricky Moore, Sr.; grandchildren, Keyana Larcarte (Chris), Erik Boyd, Kabreisha James, Semaj James, and Travil Holt.

She was preceded by her son, Eric James; parents, Calvin Moore & Mary Lou Matthews Moore; sister, Floydella Jenkins & Betty Moore; and brothers, Calvin Coolidge Moore, Jr., Danny Moore, and Frank Moore.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Golden Chain Baptist Church in Cottonport.
