Funeral services for Cecilia James Holmes "Cecil" will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Mansura. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Burial will commence in the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Cecilia James Holmes passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents Leroy James and Mary Anne Francios. Those left to cherish her memory include, her husband Gene Holmes, Sr., her children; Cassandra Lee and her late husband Jeffery, Kenneth Holmes (Kina) of Mansura, Tyrone James (Ramona) of Houston, TX, Cathy Holmes of New Orleans, Keith Holmes (Lea) of Atlanta, GA, Kendrick Holmes (Rasheeka) of Dallas, TX, and Gene Holmes, Jr. (Judy) of Mansura; her sisters Mary Lee (Norwood) and Judy James, and one brother Walter James (Larhonda); seventeen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. She leaves several nieces, nephews, extended family, her best friends, and her God-Children.
