Cheryl Armand

Funeral Services for Cheryl Mary Armand will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 beginning at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cottonport. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 beginning at 5pm until 9pm and will reopen Monday morning from 8am until the time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport. Burial will commence at the St. Mary's #2 Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Cheryl Mary Armand, age 67, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Lafayette General Hospital. She was a loving mother and adoring grandmother. She was very involved with St. Mary's Church and was an active member of The Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and baking. She was a R.N. for 27 years and a school nurse for 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geno & Rosemary Ahrens Ancaroni; sister, Rose Marie Tomlinson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Peter Armand; daughter, Lauren (Travis) Dufour of Youngsville; son, Heath (Becky) Armand of Lafayette; sisters, Jean (Tom) Mordaunt of Munster, IN; brother-in-law, Leston Tomlinson of Opelousas. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Logan, Caden, Camryn, Grant and Jake.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to "Build Your House on the Rock, Inc." P.O. Box 262, Bunkie, LA 71322. Due to her love of children, she requested offerings be made to this Guatemalan Orphanage.
