Clyde Joseph Dufour

Funeral Mass for Clyde Joseph Dufour of Simmesport will begin at 11:00am on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Kurian Zachariah officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Catherine Cemetery in Hamburg. 

Clyde J. Dufour, age 66, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Clyde was a hardworking family man who dedicated over four decades of his life to the vibrant fish market industry in Simmesport, Louisiana. His journey began at the Four Corners Fish Market, where he labored diligently for nearly 20 years before seizing the opportunity to become the proud owner and operator of the HWY 1 Fish Market. His dedication and unwavering commitment to his craft left a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Debra E. Dufour; children, Lisa Dufour, Brent Everett (Clancy), and Dustin Dufour (Pamela); siblings, Patricia Dufour and Gerard Dufour (Glenda); 13 grandchildren, Joseph Bridges, Tyler Bridges, Susie Bridges, Adrian Bridges, RaeLeigh Bridges, Brent Everett, Jr., Mackenzee Everett, Savanna Jones, Breanne Lacombe, Madison Turner, Samantha Raye Dufour, Madison Maie Dufour, and Karsonn Dufour; 5 great-grandchildren, Presley, Hadley Joy, Grayson, Camden, and Preston. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby Dufour, Jr. & Rose Mae Mose Dufour; son, Christopher “Cotton” Everett; siblings, Dolson Dufour and Gayle Dufour. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport and will resume at 8:00am until 10:45am on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport.
