Funeral services for Connie Roy Lemoine of Marksville will take place on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the St. Paul Catholic Church of Mansura, beginning at 11:30am with Fr. Chad Partain officiating. Visitation will also take place at the church Monday morning, from 9:30am to 11:30am. Burial services will commence at the St. Joseph Catholic Mausoleum 2.
Connie Lemoine, age 80, passed away at the Rio Sol Nursing Home of Mansura on Friday, May 31, 2013. Mrs. Lemoine began her career working for Dr. Pete Abramson for many years, she later worked at the Avoyelles Parish Sheriffs Department Tax Office. She was a past president and longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 130, former board member of the Marksville Chamber of Commerce, and on the Avoyelles Parish Election Commission. She also served as board member and president of the Avoyelles Parish Council of Aging, was a member of the Louisiana Democratic State Central committee, and was a member of the Local Triad Committee. She was very proud to be from Mansura, she loved the culture and the people and loved to reminisce about the good ole days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Lemoine, Sr. son, Patrick Lemoine, Jr. parents, Landry Carrie Zimmer Roy and four brothers four sisters. She is survived by her children, Susan Brouillette David of Marksville, Felice Lemoine of Marksville, Jack Lemoine Theresa of Marksville, Constance Rabalais Thad of Mansura sister, Narcille Mayeux of Marksville and her special friend, Oscar Rachal of Moreauville. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild.
