Funeral services for Dakota John Martin of Big Bend will take place at the St. Peters Catholic Church of Bordelonville on Saturday, July 30, 2011, beginning at 11:00am with Msgr. Steve Testa officiating. Visitations will be held at the St. Peters Catholic Church Hall of Bordelonville on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm and will resume Saturday morning. Burial services will commence at the St. Catherine Cemetery of Hamburg.
Dakota Martin, age 19, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Hartley uncle, Lanny Hartley. He is survived by his parents, John Rachel Hartley Martin, Jr. of Big Bend brother, Lane Martin of Big Bend grandparents, John Lovonia Martin of Bordelonville, Milton Hartley of Big Bend and numerous extended family and close friends.
