Funeral service for Donald Ray Jones, resident of Alexandria formerly of Simmesport, begins at 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport with Rev. Henry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery in Simmesport.

Donald Ray Jones, age 67, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at his home in Alexandria.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sarah Lee Washington of Simmesport; sisters, Sarah Jones of Simmesport, Pamela Ann Spottsville of Colorado, Barbara Jacob of Seattle, and Rose Dupar of Seattle. He is also survived by his companion of 18 years, Laverne K. Lott of Alexandria; stepson, William Kirklin (Twaina); 5 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Jones.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport.
