Funeral services for Doris Lee Brown of Mansura will take place at the St. John Community Baptist Church of Marksville on Saturday, December 29, 2012, beginning at 11:00am with Rev Charles Guillory officiating. Visitation will also be held at the church Saturday morning from 9:00am to 11:00am. Burial services will commence at the St. John Community Cemetery.
Doris Brown, age 80, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital on Thursday, December 20, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luke Brown and parents, Henry Mary Washington. She is survived by her children, Joseph Pate, Luke Brown, III, George Roy Brown, Elzenia Brown, Cristbell Pate, Magnolia Ford, Doris Dean Turner, Bernice Brown, Mary Caberra sister, Jana Mae Thornton, Sarah Washington, Lou Bertha Hayes. She is also survived by her nineteen grandchildren, thirtytwo greatgrandchildren, one greatgreatgrandchild.
