Doris Jackson

Funeral services for Doris Mae Jackson, age 87, resident of Tomball, TX, formerly of Moreauville will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 beginning at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Moreauville with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 beginning at 8am until time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville with a rosary prayer at 10am. Interment will be held at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Doris Mae Jackson passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Tomball Nursing Center in Tomball, TX. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, served as a member in the Knights of Peter Claver. Doris was the "Matriarch" of the Pierre Family with a humorous personality and her loving spirit. For over 25 years she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Rio Sol Nursing Home and provided Private Duty Care. Doris always demonstrated love with her actions and was firm with the truth. She was proud of her family history and values. Her "can do" attitude was her strength and she wore many hats and job titles; such as Nurse, Butcher, Head Chef, Dancer, Historian & Famous Story Teller. She took great pride in helping out with the Catholic Fair and making those delicious cakes. Doris loved spending time with family and friends; laughing and
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Jackson; her parents, Oliver & Mary Minerva Baptiste-Pierre; son, Edward C. Jackson, siblings, Oliver Pierre, Jr. Harold Pierre, Angeline Cecilia Pierre, Matilda Pierre-Pillard, and Raymond Eugene Pierre.
Doris leaves a legacy of generational blessings to honor to her granddaughter, Ava M. Jackson-Jones (Donald R. Jones, Jr.), great-grandchildren, Bria N. Jones, Jadon A. Jones, Avia D. Jones; sister, Mable Pierre-Sylvain (Earl Sylvain), Clifton & Christiana Jackson, Norris Jackson, Norris Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.
