Funeral services for Doris Wilkes of Hamburg will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Moreauville on Friday, October 4, 2013, beginning at 10:00am with Father Marc Noel officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Moreauville on Thursday, October 3, 2013, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and will resume Friday morning at 8:30am. Burial will commence at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
Doris Wilkes, age 87, passed away at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Center on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Wilkes parents, Osma Eula Naquin Lemoine brothers, J.T. Lemoine Louis Buddy Lemoine sister, Earline Bordelon and grandchild, Chad Barrere. She is survived by her children, Gerard Wilkes Donna, Vincent Wilkes Becky Glinda Wilkes Barrere Milburn, all of Hamburg sisters, Marie King of Simmesport, Nelia Brouillette of Cottonport, Janel Wilkes of Hamburg, Eula Mae Wilkes of Hamburg. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren nine greatgrandchildren.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
