Funeral services for Dorothy Darander of Mansura will take place at the Magnolia Baptist Church of Evergreen on Friday, December 23, 2011, beginning at 12:00pm. Visitations will also be held at the church, prior to the funeral service, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Burial services will commence at the Magnolia Church Cemetery.
Dorothy Darander, age 74, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital of Marksville on Thursday, December 15, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Buven Darander parents, Thomas Mary Woods Dobbins sisters, Rosalee Fontenot, Roberta Taylor, Josie Mae Jackson brothers, Thomas Dobbins, Jr., Percy Dobbins. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Darander, Sr. Sarah Ann of Mansura grandchildren, Britnee Darander Jimmy Darander, Jr. brothers, Vernon Dobbins, Sr. , Samuel Lucas, Sr. brotherinlaw, Stanley Darander sisterinlaw, Carrie Mae Dobbins niece, Betty Lavalais Donald nephews, Terry Crockett, Alfred Taylor Jacqueline, David Crockett, Larry Crockett, Iris Dobbins, Donald Ray Crockett special nieces, Tangela Crockett, Courtney Lavalais special friends, Willie Spikes, Marie Floyd, Cora Anderson and also a host of great nieces, nephews, extended family friends.
