Funeral services for Dorothy McDonald of Cottonport will take place at the St. Marys Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Saturday, September 8, 2012, beginning at 10:00am with Fr. Jamie Medina Cruz officiating. Visitations will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Cottonport on Friday, September 7, 2012, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and will resume Saturday morning at 8:00am. Burial services will commence at the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery 2.
Dorothy McDonald, age 93, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital of Marksville on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel McDonald daughter, Elaine Rabalais parents, Sam Lena Juneau McDonald. She is survived by her children, Larraine Hawkins of Houston, Kenneth McDonald of Cottonport, Bennett McDonald of Baton Rouge her brother, Gerard Tassin of Mansura. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren nine greatgrandchildren.
