Dr. Kuplesky

Funeral services for Dr. Stephen Doc Kuplesky of Simmesport will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2014 beginning at 2pm at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Simmesport. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014 beginning at 5pm until 10pm at the Escud Funeral Home in Simmesport. Burial will be held at the Lettsworth Methodist Protestant Cemetery in Lettsworth.
Dr. Stephen Kuplesky, age 68, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 in Simmesport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Frida Kaplan Kaplesky. Doc enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing his guitar. He also enjoyed his flying his airplane, was a gun enthusiast, and was extremely patriotic. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Doc was a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Southern Medical Society, and was a former president of the Avoyelles Medical Society. He was a CoChair of the Simmesport Sports Association and a member of the Simmesport Chamber of Commerce. Doc was Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and a Board Certified Hospitalist he was honored in 2003 as Physician of the Year. He devoted to assuring all people got equal medical care in our parish and community.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rose Kuplesky of Simmesport daughters, Christine K. Rabalais Mel of Prairieville, Courtney K. Lacour Dustin of Bordelonville, Catie Kuplesky, Cassie Kuplesky, Cara Kuplesky all of Simmesport sons, John Brummett Amy of Hamburg, Joseph Kuplesky Kelsey of Plaucheville, and Josh Kuplesky of Simmesport sister, Sharon Kuplesky of Alexandria seven grandchildren: Jordan Rabalais, Sydnee Rabalais, Brayden Rabalais, Farrah Rabalais, Autumn Lacour, Adelyn Lacour, and Joesley Kuplesky.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to an account at the Simmesport State Bank in memory of Doc.
