Eddie Bordelon

Memorial Mass for Roland “Eddie” Bordelon of Cottonport will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 beginning at 2:00pm with Rev. John Wiltse. Burial will take place at the St. Peter Catholic Cemetery of Bordelonville.

Roland “Eddie” Bordelon, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2023.  Eddie was born on September 11,1947, and was raised in Bordelonville, LA. After college, Eddie and his wife Sheila settled in Cottonport where they raised their family and were the proud owners of Eddie’s Pharmacy. He was active with the Cottonport fire department, Knights of Columbus, Cottonport civic club, and was very proud to have been honored as an Eagle Scout. Eddie was always looking for fun and loved food, family, friends, his camp, and repeating the same stories. He was loved by many, and that is apparent by the continuous acts of kindness from his closest friends who never left his side.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Priscilla McMullen (Kenneth), Pete Bordelon (Bridget), Seth Bordelon, Sara Armand (Cade), and Jill Thalmann (Todd); his aunt, Irma Gremillion. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Vanessa, Jonathan, Riley, Gavin, Taylor, Owen, Macy, Jonah, Aubrey, Lauren, and Dustin; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Bordelon; parents, Neldred Bordelon and Melba Bordelon Cooper; brother, Norbert Bordelon.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church CYO in Cottonport until mass begins at 2:00pm.
