A Memorial Service for Eddie Lee Jones Jr. will be held on December 7, 2024, beginning at 11:00am at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. 

A Memorial Visitation will begin at 8:00am until time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. 

Eddie L Jones Jr, age 82, born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 28, 1942, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at his residence in Mansura, LA. 

Eddie Married Elaine Sampson in Asheville, NC from 1996 thru 2024. He was Baptized Catholic at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Asheville, NC.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children; son, Bobby Jones (Neakie); daughters, Beverly Jones Pittman and Angela Jones Mayer (Elbert L. Meyer III); three stepsons, Eric Smith, Kerry Dunbar, and Manuel Bates; one stepdaughter, Alayne Sampson; grandchildren, Dwayne Pittman Jr, Brianne Jones, Tatyana Jones, Katrina Jones, Layana Jones, Natasha Jones, Isaiah Jones, Jonah Jones, Dezjona Jones, Kaneisha Jones, Lamont Jones, Jahki Jones, Ashonti Jones, Dreyonna Jones, Tysheri Jones, Demarko Jones, Seiji Jones, Valencia Meyer, Elbert L Meyer IV; forty-five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, James Earl Jones (Remedious); sister, Emogene Jones Rochester.; brother-in-laws, Lewis Dinkins and Sheller Sampson (Jean).

He was preceded in death by his father Eddie Lee Jones Sr. and mother Estella (Baker) Richie; grandchildren, Sabrina Jones, Keyana Jones, Michael Jones, Dion Jones, Denzel Jones; sister, Tommie Ruth Jones Dinkins; sister-in-law, Rose M. Perry (Fluid); brother-in-laws, Jesse Rochester Sr., Bernard Sampson, and Cilton "Sookie" Sampson Jr. (lline). 

Repass will follow at the VFW center in Mansura.
