A memorial service for Edgar Lanier Jackson, Jr. of Simmesport will be held at the Methodist Protestant Church of Lettsworth on Saturday, December 7, 2013 beginning at 11am.
Edgar Lanier Jackson, Jr., age 81, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville on Monday, December 2, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar, Sr. Mary Jackson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Joby Bordelon, Edgar Jackson, III, and Eddie Jackson his daughters, Deborah S. Deveroux, Rhonda Steinitz, Karen Thornton, and Cheryl Hayes. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Jackson his sisters, Shirley Overton, Louise Parker, and Betty Cazelot and numerous grandchildren greatgrandchildren.
