Elaine Marie Rabalais Valois

Mrs. Elaine Rabalais Valois, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, in Moreauville, Louisiana at the age of 89.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. 

Funeral Visitation will begin 4:00pm to 8:00pm, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm by Fr. Brian Seiler. 

Funeral Visitation will continue from 8:00am until time of Mass on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. 

Elaine is survived by her children, Lucy Valois Miller (Wayne) of Moreauville, Andrew Valois Jr. (Faye) of Marksville, Sandra Valois Boyd (Benjamin) of Deville, Steven Valois (Karen) of Church Point, and Jamie Valois (Christie) of Cottonport; siblings, Wayne Rabalais (Elaine), Edell Rabalais (Mitchel), Theresa Sanfilippo (Bruce).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Rabalais Sr. and Hilda Lucy Rabalais, step-mother Rose Lemoine Rabalais, husband Andrew Valois of Moreauville, daughter Cherie Valois of Moreauville, brother Edward Rabalais (Kathy) of Lafayette.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Derrick Wooten, Devin Valois, Wilson Valois, David Valois, Shane Rachal, and Jamie Valois. Cross bearers include: Bronson Edmond, Hudson Bordelon, and Cohen Gaspard.

She is also lovingly remembered by her 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Elaine’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and was always there to offer a comforting word, a warm hug, a helping hand, some fresh bread rolls, a warm brownie, and always popsicles and ice cream. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who know her.
