Elize Ford

Funeral services for Elize Jacobs Ford of Marksville will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 beginning at 11am at the St. Richard's Catholic Church in Hickory Hill. Visitation will be held at St. Richard's on Tuesday morning beginning at 8am until 11am. Burial will be at the St. Richard's Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Elize Jacobs Ford, age 89, passed away at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ford; daughters, Shelia Conway & Georgene Clayton; grandson, Marcus Conway; sisters, Theresa Ratliff & Delphine Jacob; and her parents, Shelby Jacobs, Sr. & Louella Louis Guillot.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Irene Jones (Howard) of Marksville, Miranda Martin of Marksville, Patricia Ford (John) of Alexandria; sons: Marion Ford (Rebecca) of Alexandria, Freeman Ford (Allison) of Marksville, Lawrence Ford (Melissa) of Marksville; sisters: Mildred Leviege of California, Rose Brown of California, Lessie Johnson of Marksville; brothers: Donald Guillot of Marksville, Kirby Guillot of Kansas, August Guillot of Marksville, Fredrick Guillot of Carencro, Shelby Jacobs, Jr. of Tennessee. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Elize enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. "Forever-fragrant garden with beauty all around, blossoms of the rarest kind can easily be found, gentle breezes dancing through leaves that never fade, clinging to the tree of life providing Heaven's shade, no winter's chill now comes to me, no need to be disheartened, I'll rest here now, forevermore in God's eternal garden."
