Funeral services for Ella Laurent of Cottonport will take place at the Little Zion Baptist Church of Longbridge on Saturday, July 20, 2013, beginning at 11:00am. Visitation will also be held that morning at the church from 9:00am to 11:00am. Burial services will commence at the Little Zion Baptist Cemetery.
Ella Laurent, age 57, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan Edwina Blackman Laurent. She is survived by her children, Troy Laurent, Sr. Cleo Laurent, both of Cottonport husband, Edward Boo Hegger of Cottonport sisters, Gwen Simon of Marksville, Rose Laurent of Cottonport brother, Benjamin Laurent of Cottonport. She is also survived by her five grandchildren.
