Elliott Laprairie

Funeral services for Elliott Elert Laprairie, Sr. of Simmesport will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport at 10:00am. Visitations will also be held at the funeral home, on Friday, June 12, 2009 beginning at 6:00pm lasting until time of the funeral. Elliott Laprairie, Sr., age 92, passed away at Avoyelles Hospital on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Batiste Laprairie Saah Normand Laprairie. He is survived by his; wife, Almeda Bernard Laprairie; sons, Elliott Laprairie, Jr. of Simmesport, Charles Ray Laprairie of Plaquemine; daughter, Annette Marie Gaspard of Marksville; brother, Ralph Laprairie of Brusly; sisters, Murial Cole of Deville, Edith Champion of Ferriday. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
