Elton Lemoine, Jr.

Elton Joseph Lemoine Jr., 51, of Marksville, passed away Tuesday, February 26 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Mr. Lemoine was born July 15, 1956 in Cottonport to Hazel and Elton Lemoine sr. He was a successful grocery store owner until he fell ill. He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel Williber and Elton Lemoine Sr. of Cottonport; a sister, Janice McDaniel of Marksville; and a nephew Richard McDaniel of Marksville. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sheila Desoto Lemoine of Fifth Ward; One daughter, Christine Lemoine Gunn and husband Lionel Gunn of Fifth Ward; two sons, Christopher Lemoine and wife Tiffiny Ducote of Marksville and Cody Lemoine of Fifth Ward; one granddaughter, Maegan Gunn of Fifth Ward; and one sister Mary Ellen Roy and husband Richard of Laplace. A visitation will be held Friday, February 29 from five to eight p.m. at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport with a memorial service to be held at 7 p.m. A private interment will follow.
