Esther Carmouche

Funeral services for Esther Mae Carmouche of Marksville will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 beginning at 11am at the Escud Funeral Home of Mansura. Burial will be held in the United Pentacostal Cemetery in Simmesport. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Mansura on Monday, September 02, 2013 beginning at 5pm until 10pm and will reopen on Tuesday morning at 8am. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home of Mansura.
Esther Mae Carmouche, age 83, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville on Sunday, September 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Amar Bertha Gauthreaux her sister Raye Soileau her brothers, Cauthey Gauthreaux, Murphy Gauthreaux, and Buddy Gauthreaux.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Lincoln J. Carmouche of Marksville son Lee John Ponthieux of Mansura her daughters, Lavie Ponthieux Vaughn of Tioga and Lynn Carmouche Bordelon of Marksville her sisters, Mildred Sandifer, Velma Jeanne Gross, and Sandra Guilbeau all of Simmesport and her brothers, Fred Lee Gauthreaux and Elef Gauthreaux both of Simmesport. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Tommy Cole, Nathan Cole, Shellby Ponthieux, Lee John Ponthieux, Larence Davis and Adam Brvill.
