Eugene Ponthier

Funeral services for Sgt. Eugene Joseph Ponthier of Mansura will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 beginning at 10am at the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 beginning at 4pm until 10pm and will continue Thursday at 8am. Burial military honors will be held at the St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Sgt. Eugene Joseph Ponthier, age 68, passed away at his home in Mansura on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was a Veteran of the US Army and National Guard who served in Vietnam Desert Storm.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Marion Cox Ponthier of Mansura his son, Micheal Joseph Tiffany A. Ponthier of Mansura three grandchildren: Travon Wright, Avianna A. Barquet, and Mykel J. Ponthier sister, Lola Dauzat of Marksville brothers, Thomas Ponthieux of New Orleans and Gary Ponthier of Mansura his parents, Sammy Helen Ponthier of Mansura.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Larry Dauzat, Todd Dauzat, Joshua Cazalot, Travon White, Dylan Normand honorary pallbearers will be Willis Johnson, LaDerrian Cunnikin, John Normand, and Gary Ponthier.
